As the Executive Director and Clinical Director of Enlightened Recovery in Kalamazoo, MI, Blaire aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment for individuals facing addiction to begin or continue recovery.  The foundation of Blaire’s clinical approach is rooted in feelings of safety and human- and self-connection.  She believes that if we can learn methods to re-establish feelings of safety and to connect with ourselves and others, we can heal.  

 Blaire’s background is primarily in mental health, including co-occurring disorders.  She has worked in inpatient and outpatient levels of care, serving communities across Michigan.  She began her career working with at-promise youth and youth with disabilities and has since expanded her experience to work with a vast array of individuals with diverse backgrounds and presenting mental health and substance abuse difficulties.  Her clinical practice is grounded in evidence-based and evidence-informed therapeutic techniques, including the utilization of holistic based practices.  

Blaire received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Michigan State University’s Honors College.  She continued her education at Western Michigan University (WMU), where she received her Master of Social Work degree.  Through her studies, Blaire developed a passion for research and program creation/evaluation.  She has applied this passion in collaborative projects and previous clinical roles.  Blaire is a part-time instructor at WMU—teaching Evaluation of Social Work Practice, Social Work Research Methods, and Social Work Practice with Individuals and Families.

It is Blaire’s passion and mission to ensure that each individual that seeks treatment at Enlightened Recovery feels safe and supported as they journey through a clinical, medical, and holistic healing experience.
